The weather in Cedar Rapids has been rather a mixed bag lately. From one day to the next we’ve gone from sunny and warm to cold and snowy. I decided to head downtown and ask around to see what others thought about what’s up with it.

Great video, i really envy how well you got to asking people’s opinions and filming them for this little documentary, wish i could do the same.
Oddly enough the weather was pretty decent over here at the moment on and off, we usually have it really bad
Hah! I moved from Vancouver to Iowa. It had been a long time since I’d seen cold weather
The beauty of carrying this little cell phone and doing the interviews is that people are not intimidated by it. It’s tiny, and non intrusive. If I had my regular video camera with me, I can assure you that I would not have found people so willing to talk to me.
Then again, this is Iowa. People are open and very friendly here
Hi David!
I hope the days get hot there soon.
I loved the talking you manage to get out of people. Seeing these people on the video its very documentary style, and as such it sounded very friendly, almost “intimate”.
Always good to see you videos. Congrats for the republishing in gazetteonline.com.

I love it!
You should totally do more of this.
You found hundreds of people! And got them to speak to you! Videoing with your phone! Of course, as you say, it’s less threatening than a bigger camcorder. I found that for the first time, really, with Mrs Patel last week.
Brilliant job, mate.
Hey Dave, nice weather in Philly today but dropping by to test my first Gravatar on your site.
skritch skritch skritch skree scraaaatch skritch skrawtch skrawtch skritch scritch scree scraw scrawtch scrawtch scritch scritch scraaaatch………..there, I just erased Iowa off my map of possible places to live. Thanks for the heads up
